By chance, Sam Fordham, the Head of Photography and Print, happened to be working near our office and approached us to see if we would like some professional photos taken of the BMM team. We were delighted at the prospect of having some new team images and headshots to update our website and our individual professional portfolios.
We got to work creating a moodboard with a boardroom style format to showcase the professional work we do behind the scenes. We are often seen in group, in uniform, but when we are all in the office we are working hard on funding applications, research requests, finance and general office administration. Among all the hard work, we also have fun and enjoy each other’s company, and we wanted the images to reflect that.
Poppy, Pippa and Molly arrived on shoot day, full of energy and enthusiasm, not only for the project, but also for our work. They were not shy about directing us, give us tips on how to compose ourselves and moving the office layout around to get the best results.
It was lovely to spend time with them and watch them work, asking each other for advice when needed. The quality of the final work was beautiful. You wouldn’t know they were students from looking at the finished images!
