Sonah Paton
Sonah Paton is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Black Mothers Matter. Inspired by her own varied maternity experiences, she trained as a doula and established the organisation to support and advocate for Black maternal health. She serves as a member of the NHS Maternity & Neonatal Stakeholder Council. Her TEDx talk, “Why are Black mothers five times more likely to die during childbirth?”, has become a widely used resource for those seeking a deeper understanding of the disparities in Black maternal health. Sonah is currently studying MSc Public Health at University of Bristol.
